Former Buffalo Sabre and NHL player Curtis Brown came to me for a website for The Aubri Brown Club, a non-profit organization he established with his wife Ami. I was responsible for designing the site's look and feel, as well as all of the site's development, scripting, and implementation. The website includes a blog, shopping cart functionality for donations, and online video content. I also advised Curtis and Ami on what to include on the site, and how to structure and organize the content.

Curtis and Ami founded the organization in honor of their late daughter Aubri, who they lost in 2005 to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome when she was only 4 months old. The Aubri Brown Club provides assistance to families who have lost a child. Curtis says, "we made it through those darkest days and have emerged on the other side of this tragedy. Today we have three healthy boys as we were blessed with Griffin Curtis on February 16th, 2007 ... In memory of our late daughter we want to help others who have lost a child."

Being involved in a project with such an uplifting cause was a true pleasure for me as a designer. Curtis and Ami wanted a website that would provide a feeling of warmth and comfort for those who had lost a child. I worked to help them achieve their goal by choosing soothing colors and graphics, as well as providing an easily accessible platform for them to tell their story and inspire others.

I designed a promotional brochure for an pro athletic training academy run by two former Buffalo Bills players: Demeris Johnson and NFL Hall-of-Famer Thurman Thomas. The Buffalo News recently named Demeris Johnson one of Buffalo’s Most Outstanding Citizens. He was founder of the movement that started Thurman Thomas Sports Training. The organization provides professional performance training and skill development for athletes, primarily for underprivileged and at-risk youths in the Buffalo area. I was hired by Demeris to design a promotional brochure for one of their summer training programs.

The Infectious Disease Department at the University at Buffalo hired me to create a set of medical diagrams for an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, one of the world’s most prestigious medical journals. I used Photoshop to generate graphics for a three-dimensional diagram to visually illustrate the concepts described in the article.

Queen City Football Club, a pro soccer franchise based in Buffalo, NY, retained my services to create their logo. In the team’s first season, featuring the logo I designed on their jerseys and on all team apparel, they earned a trip to the finals of the National Premier Soccer League(NPSL). The logo design is inspired by the crest graphics that are popular among many of Europe’s top soccer franchises.

I was hired to develop several brand identity and web materials for a community youth program called Winning Because I Tried. I designed the logo, and created the top header graphic for the website. In addition, I developed an introductory Flash animation for the website home page.

I was hired to fully design and develop a website for an online reality show called SwaggYou Invasion. My responsibilities included layout design and graphics creation, HTML/CSS site development, implementation of Flash video files, creation of an online form, and technical and branding consultation. I worked with the show’s creator to develop a web layout that would not only reflect the Swagg University brand, but also display the videos for the show’s online webisodes.

I worked with PROHealth Chiropractic Center, based out of Hartford, CT, to develop their logo. The owners of PROHealth had a very specific vision for the logo that I helped them realize using a combination of illustrative and design skills to achieve a three-dimensional globe effect. They have gotten a very positive response to the logo from their patients and others that they’ve worked with.

A local high school hired me to design the graphics for their summer field hockey camp T-shirts. I did some digital illustration to create a graphic representing the school’s mascot, the Red Devils.
